WiST awarded 24 grants in 2021 to college and grad students eager to gain valuable experience in the sports tech industry. To date, WiST has awarded grants and continues to mentor 48 brilliant young women.

100% of your gift supports the WiST Fellowship program, enabling valuable resume-building experience in the exploding sports tech business for exceptional female students.
Every single dollar we raise during our Fall for our Fellows campaign will be directed towards a grant for a college or grad student in the 2022 summer program. For the eight-week internship, WiST provides $5,000 grants plus up to $2,500 in travel and housing stipends so our Fellows have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the experience and meet their project team in person.

WiST is a non-profit organization driving growth opportunities for women in sports tech and innovation, from the classroom to the boardroom.
What are the WiST Fellowships?
The WiST Fellowship program is our flagship initiative, providing exceptional opportunities for exceptional female college and grad students to gain real world experience through summer internships.
These door-opening, resume-building opportunities build networks, job skills, courage and confidence. Each Fellowship recipient is also paired with a mentor outside her host company who provides valuable support as well as feedback and insights on how to best take advantage of the opportunity. Fellows participate in bi-weekly zoom information and networking sessions that educate and also build camaraderie and community.
What else does WiST do?
WiST offers women an engaged network with access to educational content, mentorship and support. Through resources like the WiST NETWORK career hub and specialized programming for teens in the WiST Next Gen Ambassador program, WiST supports women at all stages of their sports tech careers and fills employers’ pipelines with the next generation of sports tech leaders and superstars.
