The WiST Fellowship Program awarded 22 grants in 2023 to undergrad, grad and PhD students eager to enter the sports tech industry. To date, WiST has awarded grants to and continues to mentor 75 brilliant young women with the leadership potential, growth mindset and work ethic to be the innovators of the future.

100% of your gift supports the WiST Fellowship program, enabling valuable resume-building experience in the exploding sports tech business for exceptional female and gender-expansive students.
Every single dollar we raise during our Fall campaign will be directed toward a grant for a student in the 2023 summer program. For the eight-week internship, WiST provides $5,000 grants plus up to $2,500 in travel and housing reimbursement, so our Fellows have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the experience and meet their project team in person.

WiST is a non-profit organization empowering growth opportunities for women and employers in the sports tech industry, from the classroom to the boardroom.
What are the WiST Fellowships?
The WiST Fellowship program is our flagship initiative, providing valuable summer internship experiences for exceptional women and non-binary undergrad, grad and PhD students.
These door-opening, resume-building opportunities build networks, job skills, courage and confidence. Each Fellowship recipient is also thoughfully paired with a mentor outside the host company as well as a “WiST Sis” (Fellow Alum) who provide valuable support as well as feedback and insights on how to best take advantage of the opportunity. Fellows participate in bi-weekly workshops and networking sessions that educate and also build camaraderie and community.

WiST is a non-profit that empowers transformative growth opportunities for women and employers, from the classroom to the boardroom, at the intersection of sports, technology and innovation. WiST develops and delivers innovative programs and a global community that provide tangible value for women and employers alike. Other WiST programs include the Next Gen Resource Hub “Discover Sports Tech” video series to inspire female high school students to keep up their STEAM studies and sports participation, an array of original content WiST Presents featuring role models in the industry, and the WiST NETWORK Career Hub, the single source for diverse hiring in the sports tech industry.
