What Our Corporate Partners Are Saying…

Diversity and inclusion are core values and critical priorities for the NBA and all of our leagues and teams, and we know that we will only make progress by expanding our networks and creating broader and more inclusive talent pools. We are grateful to partner with WiST, who has been instrumental in creating new opportunities for women in technology and for employers who are seeking to attract the world’s best talent. Additionally, we are excited to support the WiST Fellowship program, a dynamic group of young women who will undoubtedly become innovators and leaders across our industry through WiST’s extensive programming and support.
— Oris Stuart, NBA Chief People and Inclusion Officer and WiST Advisor
“WiST is an impressive organization that we are proud to support and we are excited to have WiST Fellows join our SportsTech Accelerator team for their summer internship projects. Our WiST Fellows gain immediate experience working with our deal sourcing team to evaluate startup founders applying for our SportsTech accelerator classes, and we value the Fellows’ unique perspectives.”
— Jenna Kurath, Vice President of Startup Partner Development and Head of Comcast NBCUniversal SportsTech
As a leader in this space, I continue to be impressed with the specific programs WiST offers employers, as well as the high caliber of professionals and students in the WiST community, all eager to work in tech and innovation roles in the sports business. Our internship program at Nike and talent pipelines are positively influenced by our continued partnership with WiST.
— Jarvis Sam, Global VP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Nike, a Forbes 30 Under 30 in Sports 2021, and founding WiST Board Member.

Accelerator Alliances

We partner with investment platforms seeking to expand access to female-led startups in sports technology and innovation, and provide female mentors and role models for all of the startups in their ecosystem. Our first partnerships are with Comcast SportsTech and MassChallenge.

University Partners

In order to expand our outreach to undergraduate and graduate students – particularly in underserved communities – we build relationships with athletic departments and professors in fields related to sports tech at HBCUs and other universities across the U.S. Numerous faculty and administrators have been early champions of WiST and are recommending their outstanding students as applicants to the WiST Fellowships program.
